When Coco Chanel said that "A woman should be two things: classy and fabulous" she forgot to mention the part about also being a successful, ambitious and talented professional.

Women in the healthcare field have continuously battled the stereotype that "pretty" can't be "smart" and if you're wearing make up then you cannot be a talented surgeon. On the contrary, the compassion, passion and inherent creativity female surgeons bring to their patients is unparalleled. I can wear heels and have my nails done and I can be an exquisite surgeon at the same time because the two are not mututally exclusive.

As a first year Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery resident AND a woman who loves food, beauty and fashion I hope to bring a feminine touch to a the masculine field of surgery.

Thank you for following my journey!
